Credentials: PhD, University of the Witwatersrand, with doctoral research on language policy implementation in South Africa. MA and BA Honours in Translation and Interpreting Studies (Wits) and BA Honours in isiZulu (University of KwaZulu-Natal). University teaching experience in South Africa and the United States. Over 20 years of isiZulu teaching, translation and language services. Executive Board Member, African Languages Teachers Association.
